1. Best rooftop bars in Malaga: AC Hotel Malaga Palacio
Located on the 15th floor of AC Hotel Malaga Palacio you will find one of Malaga’s most famous rooftop bars. The Àtico Bar & Restaurant is one of the oldest in the city. As the hotel itself is one of the most luxurious and classiest hotels in Malaga, we recommend you dress up for the occasion. From the 15th floor, you will have the opportunity to enjoy an incredible view of the city, the harbour and the sea. You can either sit inside and try the food of the restaurant or have a nice cocktail outside on the amazing open-air terrace.
What does it offer?
The Àtico Bar & Restaurant stays open during the whole day and you can visit it anytime. For your lunch, cocktails with friends or dinner, you will have no difficulty finding what suits you best. If you decide to stay at the hotel as well, you can make use of the swimming pool next to the bar on the top floor. Keep an eye out for the occasional live music and flamenco shows that take place on the rooftop as well. In this way, you’ll get the full Spanish experience along with having some drinks. Be sure to make reservations if you wish to have dinner there as well because it usually gets busy during the evenings. And last but certainly not least, try to visit the hotel during August when the “Feria de Málaga” takes place in the city and enjoy the fireworks from above.
2. Alcazaba Premium
La Terraza Alcazaba Premium is located on top of Alcazaba Premium Hostel Málaga. As a matter of fact, it is one of the newest hot spots and rooftop bars in the city. It has become very popular among locals and tourists very quickly. Because of that, you’ll maybe have to wait in the queue in order to get in, during busier days. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth the wait. Take the lift if you don’t feel like walking up to the top.
Admire Malaga’s ancient ruins
Get up to the 5th floor and prepare to be amazed by the view of the whole city as well as a close-up view of Alcazaba and Gibralfaro. The terrace itself is on two different levels and you will find a bar in each one of them. This gives the impression of a quieter and larger space. Don’t miss your chance to go up there during sunset, the view is unbelievable. During the evening it is not as crowded and you’ll enjoy the fun and casual atmosphere with a cocktail in hand. If you get hungry go one floor down and visit the Batik restaurant. Choose between a big menu of burgers and other delicious dishes. We definitely recommend visiting both, as we can guarantee you’ll have the time of your life.

Go there as soon as possible enjoy the good weather and get a real feeling of the city from above.
Malaga from another point of view
The best part is that you have the perfect view of the Church of San Juan, and of the mountains surrounding Malaga. Note that not all of Malaga’s terraces have the privilege of looking over at this view. La Terraza de San Juan is located on the fifth and top floor of the hotel in Malaga’s city centre. There you can enjoy a coffee, milkshake or beer, but among all, we recommend their distinctive cocktails. The latter are prepared by professional bartenders who will entertain you with their acrobatics.
